- Day 2– Lunch at BBQ shelter:

Spend the day surrounded by nature at our BBQ Shelter, a peaceful spot by the river designed to relax, disconnect and enjoy the landscape at your own pace.

The experience is completely flexible, allowing each guest to choose how they would like to arrive and return.

The experience

- Day 3: Paso Malo Experience:

A scenic 30-minute 4x4 drive takes you from Carahuasi to our Horse Outpost, the starting point of the adventure.
Once you arrive to the second horse outpost:

• Horseback trail to get to Paso Malo: enjoy a beautiful 2-hour trail ride through the sierras.

Upon arrival at Paso Malo, you will discover a rustic BBQ shelter perched in the Sierra, overlooking one spectacular natural pool. Here, we welcome you with a delicious lunch served in an unforgettable setting, surrounded by pristine nature.

• Horseback trail to get Return to Outpost 2: 2 hrs

Total horseback ride experience: 3 hrs

- Day 4: High Sierra Exploration.

A scenic 1-hour 4x4 drive takes you to Carahuasi’s highest and most remote sierra`s area. This is one of the most pristine corners of the Sierra.
Your reach the 2nd horseback outpost were trail begins.
Spend the day exploring the region through guided horseback rides, discovering hidden natural pools, secluded river spots, and untouched mountain terrain. This area offers excellent opportunities for condor spotting, with these magnificent birds often soaring above the ridgelines.
For lunch we receive gusts in our “Puesto del Medio” spot with a delicious and authentic meal.

Total horseback ride experience: 4 to 5 hrs.

- Day 5 – Check Out

Optional Extension: Pueblo Escondido – This activity can be changes with any activity exposed in the tentative program above.
As an alternative to any of the previous programs, guests may choose to visit Pueblo Escondido, a remote abandoned mining village hidden deep within the Sierra.
The experience begins with a 1-hour 4x4 drive to our second Horse Outpost, followed by a scenic 2-hour horseback ride to Pueblo Escondido. Upon arrival, guests enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by the spectacular mountain scenery before exploring the historic site. The return follows the same trail, with a 2-hour ride back to the outpost.
Once a thriving mining settlement, Pueblo Escondido now stands as a fascinating ghost town surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes, offering a unique glimpse into the history and pioneering spirit of the region.

Optional Experiences (Additional Cost)

The following experiences can be added to any program or enjoyed at the lodge:

• Live Chamamé Performance – A traditional chamamé band can accompany a lunch, dinner, or special gathering, bringing the spirit and music of rural Argentina to the experience. USD 300 per group.
• Private Wine Tasting – Enjoy a guided tasting hosted by the owner of Don Rosendo, a boutique winery from Mendoza. Discover the region’s renowned wines while learning about its winemaking traditions. USD 50 per adult. (Info attached)
